Join me on my one day photo workshop London, both in and around the Tate Britain and Millbank embankment complex. My London Tate Millbank photography course, introduces and develops both beginners and intermediates to the next levels of creative photography. Following an introductory presentation, I will develop your observational camera skills on location. Following this, there will be a feedback critique of your photographs to consolidate your understanding. The afternoon session will start with a simple presentation, demonstrating the creative benefits of setting up your camera beyond ‘Auto’. For those working with ‘Smart-phone’ technology, we will concentrate more on the aesthetic decision making process and composition.
A little about Millbank
Millbank was once referred to by Samuel Pepys as a place of plague pits and a ‘low, marshy locality’ suitable for shooting snipe in the nearby ‘bogs and quagmires’. Pleasingly the area has somewhat improved over the centuries and the Thames, Embankment and Gallery locations have great photographic potential.
Why I am well qualified to teach
I feel very fortunate in having gained exemplary teaching experience, and have used this to structure my photo workshop London. I have regularly lectured at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts; London), London College of Communication and Norwich University of the Arts. This, together with having worked for some of the Uk’s most iconic organisations, has helped build and define my career. It has also been a source of inspiration for me, in developing my Italian Photography Course Holidays. Amongst many influential clients, I have been commissioned by the BBC, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Design Council the National Portrait Gallery and the V&A Museum.
