Join me as I host a one day Square Mile Photography Workshop in London’s City, where the historic meets cutting edge. My Square Mile Photography course, introduces and develops both beginners and intermediates to the next levels of creative photography. Following an introductory presentation, I will work on the development of your observational camera skills on location. After this, there will be a feedback critique of your photographs to consolidate your understanding. The afternoon session will start with a simple presentation, demonstrating the creative benefits of setting up your camera beyond ‘Auto’. For those working with ‘Smart-phone’ technology, we will concentrate more on the aesthetic decision making process and composition. The City’s ‘Square Mile’ has a wealth of contemporary, as well as historic, architectural buildings to be inspired by. From St. Paul’s Cathedral, where we will meet, to the ‘Gerkin’ and the ‘Walkie-talkie’, my Square Mile Photography workshop is an architectural extravaganza! Why I am well qualified to teach
I feel very fortunate in having gained exemplary teaching experience, and have used this to plan my Square Mile Photography workshop. I have regularly lectured at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts, London), London College of Communication and Norwich University of the Arts. This, together with having been commissioned by some of the most iconic organisations, has helped build and define my career. It has also been a source of inspiration for me, in developing my Italian Photography Course Holidays. Amongst many influential clients, I have been commissioned by the BBC, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Design Council the National Portrait Gallery and the V&A Museum. Additionally I am a ‘Getty’ selected photographer.
